ProAV8 Inc. Is a company that was established on June 1st, 2009. Born from a worldwide recession, the owner, a professional pilot, with a love of aviation and dedication to the industry, found himself unemployed due to mass layoffs at Cessna Aircraft Company where he had worked as a demonstrations captain.
While searching for employment and working as a contract pilot, he discovered that the industry lacked sufficient technology to cope with the desires and needs of aviation professionals throughout the world. He recognized that the need for information security and anonymity for aviation employment and operator security did not exist on the internet. After examining the needs and desires of the industry for professional employment, ProAV8.com and " The Professional Aviator " was born. Soon after, it was realized that the potential to bring the community of aviation professionals together from around the world into various modes was possible through this website.
Our Mission
It is the Mission of ProAV8 Inc. to honor and and secure the culture of safety within the aviation community while embracing the unique history, honor, and excitement that aviation professionals have in common with one another. It is further charged to support the needs and desires of professional aviators from all corners of the industry, and to foster the growth and prosperity of aviation commerce in all forms.
The Boeing 314
You may have noticed and been curious about the big flying boat that is on many of the pages of this website. The Boeing 314 was chosen as the flag ship to carry the ProAV8.com banner. The symbolism of this aircraft holds much in common with the goals and mission of this website. This aircraft was the last of the great legacy flying boats that transformed trans-world aviation into much of what it is today. This aircraft was built with the mission to reach out to the entire world and provide aviation access to areas that was otherwise inaccessible before. The pilots that flew her were revered as heros and had status of great pilots. Even still at the dock, the great sea plane was majestic and dominated everything around her. There was nothing like her when she flew, and everyone who knew anything of aviation, knew of the great machine.
Like the great B-314, It is our mission at ProAV8 Inc. to provide a website to the aviation community that reaches out into the world and gives opportunity where there was none before.
